WHAT YOU MAY RISK…

The "Hundigekoret" (Hundige Choir) in its present form dates from 1995, where a reorganization took place. At present there are about 35 members.

The repertoire is mainly classical and romantic music, and church music is playing a major role. We are especially working with sound and pronunciation.

The weekly choir rehearsal takes place on Mondays from 7-9.30 p.m. in Hundige Church, Eriksmindevej 20 in Greve south of Copenhagen. We take regular part in concert performances in Hundige and Kildebronde Churches along with the other church choirs. Choir members are entitled to join national choral concerts arranged by the Danish choral association Kor72.

We are an amateur choir and pay a fee in order to become members.

LEISURE TIME

Likewise international travels are paid by the individual members, so we cannot afford to go abroad every year. On the other hand we appreciate the social dimension, shopping, and the common joy by presenting a good programme is important to us. Therefore: We do want communications with foreign choirs. Considering the social benefits from the travels we should like to be acquainted with other choirs. Maybe we can exchange and mix for concerts in Denmark and abroad and widen our musical knowledge?

2008

Our 2008 travel went to Poland. There were concerts in the two towns Wroclaw and Krakow. The Consonanza choir assisted us in arranging them.

The picture is from Sct. Elisabeth’s church, centrally located on the market place in Wroclaw.

The Krakow concert was in Sct. Joseph’s church in the Podgorze part of town.

Some members of the choir left their travel souvenirs in Danish on facebook.com. Even if you are unable to read Danish, you may enjoy photos and videos. Use the search term: hundige koret.

2005

The summer of 2005 was spent in the Czech Republic. In Prague we had a joint concert together with the splendid local Laetitia choir in St. Ludmila Church. The travel ended in Liberec in Bohemia. The town welcomed us in every respect apart from the weather. Fortunately, both the weather, the people and the concert performance were good when we performed in Oblastni Galeri in Liberec, so the concert was an open air performance. Just look at the concert picture.

Laetitia contacted us later en route to other concerts, and we arranged their performance in a Copenhagen art museum.

2002

The Hundige Choir united with the Ringsted Choir (from the mid_Zealand town Ringsted). Under the joint name "Zealand Concert Choir" both choirs were active participants in the international choir Eisteddfod (festival) in Llangollen in Wales in 2002 - being the only selected Danish choir. The conductors were Martin Granau and Anne Marie Christensen.
